Staying Healthy and Grounded While Traveling

I recently shared our caravan adventure in the Netherlands. This time, I want to give you a peek behind the scenes—how I manage to stay healthy and grounded while solo mothering on the road with my little one. Because honestly, travelling is both beautiful and intense, and my nervous system needs all the support it can get.

Finding Balance in a Tech-Heavy World

These days, more and more people are realizing that wellness isn’t just about food and workouts—it’s also about the environments we live in. For me, that became crystal clear when I noticed how drained I felt after long days on my phone or laptop. Living in a tiny space with devices always around, I knew I needed to be more mindful.

That’s why I started using the Aires Tech Lifetune Flex EMF Modulation Pendant. I’m not super science-y, but here’s the simple version: EMFs (electromagnetic fields) are all around us—our phones, Wi-Fi routers, tablets, even the tech in our cars. The Lifetune Flex doesn’t block these signals or mess with your connectivity—it actually reshapes and “cleans up” the way EMFs interact with our bodies.

I chose the Flex because it’s designed to cover a wide area (up to 42 feet), which feels perfect for caravan life. It means both my daughter and I are protected in our little home-on-wheels, even when surrounded by Wi-Fi networks at campsites or busy public spaces. I love that it’s safe for kids, durable, and doesn’t need charging or maintenance—I literally just wear it and forget it’s there.

Since wearing it daily, I honestly feel calmer, less “fried” at the end of the day, and more able to stay present—especially important when I’m juggling motherhood, writing, and the everyday challenges of travel.

Little Things That Make a Big Difference

Besides the pendant, there are a few other things I do that really keep me (and my daughter) grounded while living in the caravan:

  • Get outside no matter the weather. If it’s wet or cold, we just dress for it. Nature resets me instantly, and it gives my daughter space to play and explore.
  • Barefoot time. It might sound simple, but walking barefoot on the grass is one of my favorite ways to calm my nervous system. My daughter loves it too.
  • Morning cacao ritual. Before the day takes over, I sit with a warm cup of cacao. It’s my way of pausing, setting intentions, and giving myself a little nourishment before stepping into “mom mode.”
  • Simple rhythms. Caravan life forces us into a slower pace, and I try to embrace that—naps for her, quiet moments for me, early nights when possible.

Why It Matters

As a mom doing this trip mostly solo, I’ve learned that if I don’t take care of myself, everything feels harder. These small rituals and tools help me feel steady and grounded, even when the days are full and the nights are long.

We can’t escape technology, but we can change how we live with it. For me, it’s about awareness, not fear. It’s about creating little pockets of peace so I can show up as the best version of myself—for my daughter and for me.
