Here are some simple meditation tips to help you prepare for labour:

  1. Get super cozy and comfy with pillows, cushions and your fave faux fur blanket so you feel safe, and get those oxytocin hormones flowing.
  2. Use noise cancelling head phones to block out the outside noise, but also to really “feel” the music from ear to ear (especially useful for binaural beats).
  3. Visualise a positive birth and replay it in your head over and over again. Use affirmations, visualisation and positive words.
  4. Express gratitude for all thats’ good in your life right now and say thank you for this miracle of life growing inside you.
  5. Practice your labour breathing techniques so they become second nature and you know what to do when labour actually commences. Train yourself like an athlete and be PREPARED before the big day (you don’t start to learn about boxing on the night of your boxing fight – you do lots of preparations prior to that).
